I finished "The Art of Fielding" today -- a great novel about baseball, mentorship and, well, love. But the poignant thing for me is that this is the first book I have finished in, it seems like years. I've started many books, but haven't found the time to finish one since college. The internet and constant flow of information makes it difficult to sit down and devote hours to a novel is difficult. As I got close to the end, I realized I need to make more time to finish books. I am making a list of books and blocking out my time. Reading was something I enjoyed as a child. It helped shape me in my adolescent years. Now as an adult I need to bring it back.
